Get Organized: Keep Your Jewels in Their Place

So I need help, as usual.

I struggle to wear my fun earrings and necklaces these days — not because they don’t match my outfits — but because I’m either missing one of the earrings to the pair, or the necklace is so tangled, I should just throw them out. I’d show you a picture, but I’m just too embarrassed.

But before I do that, I thought I’d look into some stylish organizers. Not something to be bought at Target, but something with a little vintage flair – typical Katie style.

Etsy had great selection, here are a few faves:

Reclaimed pallets make for the perfect rustic display case. See it here.

This jewelry box was one letter off from being made for me! See it here.

This design looks like something I could actually do. Right? No? See more here.

Any of you have an old printer’s drawer lying around? {hand-raised} Maybe paint it your favorite color, screw in a few tiny hooks and start hanging your jewels! See it here if you’d prefer to leave the dirty work to someone else.

But I think I like this design. Kind of classy yet slightly shabby-chic with the distressed look and of course you know I have to have a touch of burlap in anything I do. Buy it here for only $70.

How do you keep your jewels in check? Would you purchase an organizer like these, try to make your own, or not even worry about it?

UPDATE! I was reading the numerous blogs I subscribe to from my Google Reader — and low-and-behold – DIY Your Way must have been reading my mind. Check out her post: Say Goodbye to Dangled Necklaces with a DIY Jewelry Rack. Sounds and looks about my speed! Might have to give it a go!
